Kaori Sakakibara (榊原香保里; born 17 November 1979) - vocals, flute, accordion Formation Someya started playing guitar in middle school. In the folk club during high school, he became friends with Nagai through their common love of 60's music. During college, when a friend introduced Sakakibara to Someya, he decided to start Lamp.

I recall, it was in February of 2000 that, I, Taiyo Someya, with Yusuke Nagai, and Kaori Sakakibara, formed the group Lamp. It was at that time that we wrote songs together as a band and put together enough material for a demo tape. In 2001, in a small bar somewhere in Tokyo, we played our first show.

Formed in 2000 by Taiyo Someya, Yusuke Nagai, and Kaori Sakakibara, Lamp released their first album Soyokaze Apartment Room 201 from the indie label Motel Bleu in 2003. They were featured in Tower Records' [NO MUSIC, NO LIFE]campaign in 2014. In 2017 and 2018, they went on an independent tour around East Asia respectively.

Lamp is a Japanese band formed in the 2000's. There are three band members in total, Taiyo Someya, Yusuke Nagai, and Kaori Sakakibara. You're a very multitalented band, it's amazing that you can play so many instruments, especially Sakakibara as flutists are fairly unusual in bands.
